West Coast Swing Bridge 6:15-7:00pm

Service Description

Learning to dance is like learning a language -- one you speak with your whole body. While the Beginner Class teaches you the "basic sentences" and "simple words," essential for West Coast Swing, the Bridge Class makes you fluent and fabulous! During the course of this progressive class, we will explore the subtler nuances of dance (think: grammar, sentence structure and even cultural norms of the language of West Coast Swing). In addition to the 45-minute class, registration also covers a 30-minute social dance/practice lab from 7:00 - 7:30 pm. Novice dancers are encouraged to take the Basics Series at least one time before moving into the Bridge class. Students with a recommendation from a Westies instructor can join the Bridge series without the Basics as a prerequisite. You can also enroll in the Bridge Class PLUS an additional class (Basics or Beyond) to maximize your growth as a dancer. (If you are co-enrolling in Bridge and another course, select the Bridge as an ad-on for a discount.) Come with a partner, or come by yourself -- since this is a social dance, we rotate through partners while learning patterns and connection techniques. Price listed is per person. Parents seeking West Coast Swing instruction for younger teens are welcome to email us for our policies regarding younger teens. Registration is required. Sorry, drop-ins cannot be accommodated in this scaffolded curriculum. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Our classes frequently sell out! If the class is full when you register, please email westslopewesties@gmail.com to be put on the waitlist. In the event of a sold-out class with a waitlist, any students who miss the first class (without sending a heads-up text/email) will be contacted regarding their intent to attend subsequent classes. If the Westies receive no response within the designated, reasonable deadline, we will assume those no-show spots have been forfeited. They will be offered first-come, first-served to the waitlist. Cancellation Policy

Cancellation and refunds can be accommodated if requested prior to the start of Class Series. Please email westslopewesties@gmail.com with the name on the order and order number to request a cancellation and refund. Requests made after the start of the Class Series cannot be accommodated. In the event of a sold-out class with a waitlist, any students who miss the first class (without sending a heads-up text/email) will be contacted regarding their intent to attend subsequent classes. If the Westies receive no response within the designated, reasonable deadline, we will assume those no-show spots have been forfeited. They will be offered first-come, first-served to the waitlist.
