Our foundational Basics course is now a focused 3-week program designed to get you swinging confidently in no time! Perfect for absolute beginners or anyone looking to refine their fundamentals. Classes are now a full hour long! In addition to the 1 hour class, registration also covers the weekly social dance/practice lab from 7:15 - 9ish pm. Come with a partner, or come by yourself -- since this is a social dance we rotate through partners while learning patterns and connection techniques. When you register you will be asked to indicate Lead, Follow, or a Lead-Follow couple. Please stick to this role for the duration of the 3-week course. West Coast Swing is a dance where roles (lead or follow) are not tied to gender. Any human and lead. Any human can follow. As the name implies, a Lead will typically lead the patterns learned and a Follow will reciprocate. This dynamic can flip as skills advance the beyond the basics. Price listed is per person. Parents seeking West Coast Swing instruction for younger teens are welcome to email us for our policies regarding younger teens. Registration is required. Sorry, drop-ins cannot be accommodated in this scaffolded curriculum.
